This data reflects the percentage of children entering foster care in any given year who return home within 12 months, excluding children who are in care for only eight days or less, as well as those who return home for trial home visits.

You may also compare data to the national median, which is a comparison that is made in the Child Welfare Outcomes Report from which the data are derived. State comparisons are not presented given the significant differences in state policies regarding placement and permanency.
